In normal circumstances, on solid, flat surfaces, the fan built into your laptop computer is adequate to keep it running cool. But what if you want to have the laptop computer on your lap? (Imagine that.) You can buy fans and other cooling devices to try to keep your laptop cool when it’s on your lap or other soft surface, but often the vents on the fans or cooling devices themselves get blocked. So the computer still can’t get the proper airflow because the fan can’t get the proper airflow!
Not only that, but if you're using an external mouse or trying to write with a pen as you work, there’s often not an easy way to do it!
This is just what you need to keep your laptop cool and provide mousing and writing space while you work!
It works equally well for right-handed or left-handed people, and it even works even in bed.
